Author Guidelines

Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare their manuscripts in clear, professional English. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

General Formatting Requirements:

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
  • Use Palatino Linotype, 10-point font
  • Line spacing: 8 pt
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • All pages must be numbered

Structure of the Manuscript

Authors should organize their manuscript in the following order:

  1. Title Page - Full title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author email
  2. Abstract - 150–250 words with purpose, methodology, findings, and implications
  3. Keywords - 4–6 relevant keywords
  4. Main Text - Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results/Findings, Discussion, Conclusion
  5. Acknowledgements - If applicable
  6. Funding Information - If applicable
  7. Conflict of Interest Statement
  8. References

Referencing Style

IJEMI recommends the use of a standard academic citation style such as APA, Harvard, or Chicago. Authors must ensure:

  • All in-text citations appear in the reference list
  • All references in the list are cited in the text
  • References are complete and accurate

Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively
  • Each must have a clear title and source (if applicable)
  • Figures should be of high resolution
  • Authors must obtain permission for copyrighted material

Ethical Responsibilities

Authors must adhere to high standards of research and publication ethics. By submitting to IJEMI, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and free from plagiarism
  • All authors have made a significant contribution
  • The manuscript is not under review elsewhere
  • Data has been collected and reported ethically

If the study involves human participants or sensitive data, appropriate ethical approval must be obtained.
